Psychiatric Family Nurse Practitioner Specialist
Family Nurse Practitioner

Mrs. Savelli earned her Master of Science degree
in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing in 1992, at TWU, after a decade of psychiatric work with adolescents and their families. Creating a quality therapeutic environment was a passion for Mrs. Savelli, who designed and directed inpatient and partial hospitalization programs for adolescents and children. Soon she was raising her own family. Working part-time in adult treatment settings and with the chemically dependent, she created goal attainable treatment plans, led groups for newly diagnosed HIV patients and was active in the Alzheimers association. After raising her sons and
and working with school-aged populations in schools and camps, she rededicated herself  to intense study, eager to advance her knowledge and skills in her favorite field of work. In five years she completed two post-graduate programs, at TWU and UTA.  First, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she worked in a community based clinic, providing medical management for adult patients with mental illnesses.
